According to a recent research, redhead women bear pain with more ease compared to their brunette or blonde counterparts. This is just one unique trait that has seemed to paint redheads in a special light.
The same research that indicates that redhead women as better bearers of pain also highlights the character traits of people like singer Fergie and actress Nicole Kidman. These two redhead women are known for their ability to remain highly stable even under intense pain. The reason, according to these researchers is that they carry a gene known as Mclr which not only causes the hair coloration, but which has the ability to dull pain and to also produce a fair redhead complexion.

The preliminary findings of this surprising research are to be launched at the beginning of a detailed research that will soon start in Britain. The Human Genetics Unit of the Medical Research Council in Edinburgh University will be responsible for funding and overseeing the completion of this research.
